Fashion Design for Homeschoolers with Emily Bennison

Ever wonder what it takes to be a fashion designer? Explore different trends and styles of clothing throughout the ages to inspire your own original designs. Delve into all things fashion including sewing, illustration, and material exploration. Students will learn how to draw clothes, dye fabric, weave, and sew on a machine.
● Hand sew
● Sew on a machine (learn multiple stitches ie: zig zag, and straight)
● Practice fine motor skills (pinning, cutting small curves for details)
● Cut from a Pattern
● Embellish
● Pin Fabric
● Draw a figure
● Collage
● Drape
● Dying
● Wool felting
● Finger knitting
● Weaving
● Shading with colored pencils
$160 (+$10 materials fee paid directly to instructor on first class)
