WAA’s: Art of the Ocean State – Small Works show is back! Established artists (who are current WAA members) in all media are invited to submit work.

An opening reception will take place on Friday, June 23 from 5 – 7pm. Art Sale runs from: June 23 to July 23. All accepted artists are invited to attend. Artists are highly encouraged to invite guests.

Acceptance into this show is limited to current members. No ink jet prints will be accepted. Artwork must be for sale and priced between $30.00 – $300.00. If artwork is two-dimensional, it must be framed, wired and/or presented according to our exhibit submission guidelines (on wickfordart.org).

Where possible, artwork should be signed on the front or verso of the piece. Photographs must be numbered editions at or under 50. Please clearly label the back of each artwork with the artist’s name and title and price. (See terms on page 2 for more details). Artists must provide their own professional title cards (Artist’s Name, Title of Work, Medium, and Price (in that order). A template is available upon request.

Artists hang their own works for the Art of the Ocean State Show on: Tues. 6/20 from 12 to 6pm, Wed. 6/21 from 12 to 6 pm, and/or Thurs., 6/22 from 12 – 4pm. Work must be displayed in a professional manner, representative of the gallery’s artistic standards. If work is unframed on canvas – it must be at least 1-1/2” in depth and painted evenly along the edges.

Please bring one (1) printed copy of your bio or artist statement for inclusion in the exhibit binder.

WAA’s definition of “Small Works” for this exhibit is 2D or 3D original fine art with a maximum of 14” on the longest side (frame included).

A registration fee of $50.00 must be paid at time of signing up. Participation is open to current up-to-date WAA General Artist members and Juried Artist Members. Artists may renew or join WAA at time of registering.

To register, please include one (1) representative piece in a low-resolution digital format (.jpeg only) (under 3MB). Up to forty-one (41) 2D artists will be accepted and up to to four (4) 3D artists will be accepted. Registration is open until cap is met. This is a very popular show with collectors so we encourage you to register early to save your spot.

Exhibit runs from June 23 through July 23. Art pick up date following the close of the show is Tuesday, July 25, 12 -6pm. Please note this date on your calendar.
