Photo Arts Group

The goal of the Photo Arts Group is to help our members achieve their potential in film and digital photography. We encourage sharing photographs for discussion and critique to help each other achieve that potential. Technical, thematic, and topics aspects of photography are discussed at meetings. In warm-weather months, the group also offers on-location photo shoots around the region. All levels of experience are welcome.

The group meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at the Wickford Art Association’s Gallery, on-location, or through ZOOM! For more information please email WAAphotoarts@gmail.com.

UPCOMING Photography Workshop

John Robson’s photographs tell the story of the makers and shakers that put their heart and soul into their work, from culinary artists to ranchers and craftsmen. He admires a hard work ethic that creates calloused hands and the love that goes into creating a unique experience.

John’s photographic eye is accompanied by a 20-year professional career in graphic design. Having grown up in the farmland of Central PA to the row-homed neighborhoods of Philadelphia, John’s vision is enhanced by his rural and urban experiences. John currently resides by the foothills of the Rockies in Fort Collins, Colorado.

In 2021, John was selected to serve as the sole judge and juror for the Food Works exhibition at the Wickford Art Gallery in Rhode Island in collaboration with edible Rhody.  He’ll be traveling to Rhode Island for the opening of the FoodWorks exhibit on September 10th and while here, he will offer this great photography workshop on SATURDAY- September 11 (8:30am-noon).
