Jeff Fischer lives and works in Newport, Rhode Island, where he has been sculpting in wood for over five decades. His work focuses primarily on bird forms, expressed through simplified, stylized carvings that capture the grace, movement, and elegance of these natural subjects. Working in native wood and stone, he distills each piece to its essential form while preserving a strong sense of life and presence. His work has been exhibited at the Newport Art Museum, the Providence Art Club, and the Charlestown Gallery, and he is represented by Jessica Hagen Fine Arts in Newport.
