Enjoy this one-day Pastel Art workshop, with Ann, which offers participants the opportunity to create using various types of chalk and oil pastels while exploring many pastel techniques. Whether you love working with rich colors or quiet tones, this class offers a welcoming environment to learn foundational techniques such as layout drawing with pastel, color blending, layering for depth, creating smooth gradients, and building texture through expressive mark-making. Ann will provide guided instructions and demonstrations. Through hands-on practice with oil, chalk, and pencil pastels you’ll choose your favorites and work from still life arrangements and/or your own photographs you bring. You’ll begin with practice techniques and complete your own unique work of art. All experience levels are welcome. Use of materials may be purchased onsite for $10 from Ann , or you may provide various pastels, pastel papers, drawing pencils and erasers of your choice.
All Materials provided by instructor $10 fee, paid to Ann Bianchi at class (check or cash):
Blending cloths, brushes, mediums, extra small inspirational objects, any extra materials if students need them including pastels and canvas boards. Still Life items to draw and photographs provided.
