• Latest Photo Arts Group Winners
   

• We are looking for several talented volunteers who can contribute a lot of time to the association.  Help is needed with publicity, coordination with the RI Phiharmonic, and we are seeking another intern.  Contact the Gallery Director for details.
   

• Lori Jeremiah is starting a Painting in Pastel class July 30th from 9am-noon. The course fee is $90 for three days (July 30, August 6 & 13) of instruction. Please contact the gallery to register.

• As a reminder, all members can bring in 4 matted and wrapped original pieces of artwork for our browse bin. It is a great opportunity to have visitors see a variety of your work. People are known to purchase things from the browse bin!
  
   

• The full 2010 Wickford Art Festival Application (including the instructions) is now available.  This years festival will be held on July 10 and 11.
   

Announcements for Artist Members:

Three Person Show requests
Please contact Kristen at the gallery for consideration for a 2011 three person show.  Kristen will need to know your medium(s) of choice and your availability.  Requests to show with another Artist Member of  your choice will be reviewed but not guaranteed.  Three person shows usually are in March, May, July, and September for 3 weeks each.  Remember, these shows are only for those with Artist Member status and who have not had a three person show in the past three years.  Kristen can be reached at gallery@wickfordart.org, 36 Beach Street, and 294-6840.

Artist Membership Qualification
In addition to the current jury process to become an Artist Member (as described on the Membership page), General Members can obtain Artist Membership in a new way.  To qualify, a member must prove acceptance into four Wickford Art Association juried shows within a twenty-four month period.  If eligible, please provide the gallery with a listing of the show names, dates, and titles of accepted pieces.  Please note, your membership must be current and up-to-date for the twenty-four month time period to current time.  Member shows and private three person shows are not considered juried.

• Storage of Artwork: Our board has begun to clean out our storage rooms and has done a GREAT job! With that in mind, please take note of when your artwork  needs to be picked up. Storage space is extremely limited. If for some reason you are unable to pick up your artwork on time, the WAA asks for a $5 per piece storage fee. All storage fees are deposited in our scholarship fund and are tax deductible. A receipt can be provided upon request. All art left unclaimed at the gallery a month after the previously mentioned dates will become property of the gallery and donated to a charity.
