Event Coordinator
The Wickford Art Association is seeking an organized, creative, and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of year-round special events, fundraisers, and the internationally recognized Wickford Art Festival, one of the most respected outdoor art festivals in New England.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a leadership role in producing one of the region’s premier art festivals while supporting a respected arts organization established in 1962.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this 20-hours-per-week hybrid position plays a central role in delivering high-quality events that support artists, engage the community, and advance WAA’s mission. This is a unique opportunity to work in a creative, artistic environment.
What You’ll Do

Plan and execute special events, workshops, fundraisers, and the Wickford Art Festival

Manage event logistics including vendors, permits, budgets, timelines, and on-site coordination

Oversee artist applications and jury processes for the Festival

Recruit, schedule, and support volunteers

Collaborate with the Marketing and Fundraising Committees to promote events through digital, print, and community outreach

Maintain accurate records, reports, and website updates

Conduct post-event evaluations and financial reporting
What We’re Looking For

Experience in event planning (nonprofit or arts experience preferred)

Strong organizational and project management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suites

Availability for evenings and weekends, especially during major events
