Print Your Own Holiday Cards with Suzanne Lewis
Sunday, November 16th from 12:30-3:30 (1 class/3 hours)
Learn a printmaking technique which can be used at home without the use of a press or special printmaking tools or apparatus. Multiple prints can be created using this method. Students will also learn how to cut their own stencils which can be put to use other than card-making.
Pochoir is a stenciling technique used in the 19th century to print posters and fashion illustrations. We will be cutting and printing our own stencils based on your paintings, drawings, or photographs. No previous drawing or printmaking experience necessary.
Suitable for all levels.
Instructor Provides: 5×7″ card stock, acrylic gouache, stencil “pouncers”, envelopes
Students Bring: 5×7 ” photos or drawings to be used as basis for stencils, craft knife
