Oil Pastels for Autumn I with Ann Bianchi
Saturdays, September 20, 27 – 10:00AM–2:00PM (2 classes with break for lunch)
Enjoy working in either an Abstract or Realistic style while exploring the luminous colors and effects of Oil Pastels—a versatile medium that allows for both drawing and painterly blending. We’ll begin by practicing traditional application and color-blending techniques using stick pastels. From there, we’ll experiment with textural methods to bring added depth and interest to our artwork.
Bring your own photos or objects for inspiration—textures, colors, and shapes will help spark creative ideas. After developing a plan, you’ll create your own unique piece of art. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to explore and enjoy the creative process!
Work in the style of your choice—Abstract, Realistic, or a combination of both.
Optional materials fee: $8 per class day (covers pastels and paper if needed).
