Fiber Arts & Sewing for Homeschoolers with Emily Bennison
Wednesdays, April 1, 8, 15, 29 and May 6, 13, 20, 27 (8 weeks) from 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Students are encouraged to continue working on their sewing projects in process for the first few classes and then… into an exploration of Fiber Arts!
Explore the diverse techniques of fiber art, including weaving, wool felting, fabric dying, Knitting, and embroidery. This class will emphasize process-based discovery, encouraging curiosity and problem-solving as students navigate new tools and techniques. Alongside technical development, the course highlights contemporary textile artists and are encouraged to use personal narratives, cultural references, and sensory experience as inspiration for their creations.
$200 (+$10 materials fee paid directly to instructor on first class)
