ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Produced by the Wickford Art Association since 1962, art enthusiasts have traveled near and far to discover some of the best fine art by renowned artists from Rhode Island, New England and across the nation while strolling through our classic seaside village.

Admission is always free and as an added bonus to fine art collectors, Rhode Island does not collect sales tax on fine art sales!

Historic Wickford is set on beautiful Narragansett Bay and the village comes alive for this annual event. With beautiful views, gorgeous historic homes, dozens of quality shops and a variety of restaurants, artists and attendees come to experience this one of a kind festival year after year. Wickford is located conveniently between New York City and Boston a short ways off the I-95 corridor and is a charming village that many descend upon the beautiful summer months from all over the country.

CALL FOR ARTISTS

Applications will be open February 1 – April 15. Visit the Artist Information page for all the details!

NEW THIS YEAR...

FESTIVAL LOCATION

For the safety of our artists and patrons, as well as having the ability to comply with the state of Rhode Island Department of Health regulations, this year’s festival will be hosted at Wilson Park which is located within Wickford Village.

FINE FUNCTIONAL ART

For the first time ever, we will be jurying and accepting a limited number of fine functional art that will exclusively be selected to showcase their work at this year’s festival! Make sure to come check out the best in fine furniture, jewelry, fiber, paper arts and ceramics!

VIRTUAL FESTIVAL SHOP

Look forward to the launch of the first ever VIRTUAL Wickford Art Festival Shop! The dedicated site will go live the weekend of the festival and remain up through September 30. You will be able to browse all of our accepted artists featured in the show, plus accepted artists that were unable to travel to the show this year. This platform gives us the ability to promote the great work of the artists in a way we never have been able to before! Patrons that are unable to attend the festival in person will now be able to experience the variety and talent of work the festival curates. Also for the first time, festival merchandise and scholarship raffle tickets will be available to purchase through the virtual shop!
