Metaphor in Photography
Cindy Wilson
Thursdays, May 14, 28 & June 11

Words in poetry can have many meanings; photography’s visual metaphor alludes to what the subject is not.
Through subject selection, composition and post processing, we will study and make images that are more subjective and evoke feelings that cannot be photographed directly.
There will be three online presentations with assignments and critique, practicing the figurative and emotional art of seeing with emotion.

Leaving Footprints in the Sand
Jan Armor
Thursday, May 21
10 AM - 12 NOON
I used to marvel at the pictures as I leafed through my grandmother’s old photo album. These lovely nineteenth century portraits and family groups were like footprints left in the sands of time.
Now the iPhone has become our modern-day photo album. It’s instant, it’s virtual, and the pictures are nearly perfect, BUT they are not permanent. Someday your photos will all be gone in a virtual poof of smoke.
Join me for a workshop on how to leave some of your own footprints, permanent ones. Learn how to make quality books from your iPhone photos, right on your phone, right in class using a free app called Chatbooks.
You will learn many tips and techniques as you create your first book. It’s easy, it’s fun and it is inexpensive. A beautiful book with thirty pictures is only $10!
$50 Members  $85 Non-members
Class size limited to 10 students. The book fee is not included in the class fee.
