A Multi-Platform Exhibit & Events in partnership with Edible Rhody Magazine

September 10 – October 3, 2021

All submissions must be made through our NEW online system; artists are asked to submit a SAMPLE portfolio that demonstrate your ability to capture figures, landscape, food/beverage product, and/or on-location, candid images through photography. WAA will seek to assemble a select team of photographers to partner with representatives from the RI food economy: farmers, fishers, aquaculture, vintners/brewers and food artisans to capture our resilient and creative local food industry, the process of manufacturing, the trials, tribulations and celebration of high quality, local product. Please complete the form and upload three electronic images (low-resolution JPGs) by January 15, 2021.

Notification of Acceptance
Submitted works will be reviewed by our jurist and accepted artists will be notified by e-mail by January 30, 2021.  Participating artists will be required to prepare final exhibition pieces (3-5 pieces to fill a 36″x48″ display space) within specific presentation guidelines.  Our exhibit, participating artists, and selected works will be featured in the Summer 2021 issue of Edible Rhody, artists will have the option to participate in a Food & Art Market, and will gain experience and access to photograph on-site with food industry partners across the Ocean State.  Click HERE to review the Prospectus (Guidelines for Accepted Photographers)

All Members and Non-Members are invited to submit sample photographic portfolios of three images.

$50 per artist

Delivery of Works
Final work can be hand-delivered to 36 Beach Street, North Kingstown on Tuesday: September 7 (noon-6pm), Wednesday: September 8 (noon-3pm).

Opening Reception
Pending – Friday: September 10, 2021, time: TBD.

WAA retains 30% on all sales by member exhibitors, 40% on all sales by non-member exhibitors.

All work should be collected on Monday: October 4 (noon-4pm) or Tuesday: October 5 (noon-6pm).

Additional Events
WAA will host an ART & FOOD Market…Fall Food & Art Fest, during the exhibit run as well as several Pop-Up Dinners catered by local chefs utilizing local product for intimate groups of up to 25 in-gallery.  The gallery exhibit will be accessible throughout all exhibit extensions, such as these.  Details to follow.
