While learning the ins and outs of Procreate\, students will be using reference art from some of the best artists in the video game and entertainment industry (by permission of the artists). Once they have a handle on the basics\, they will start creating their own art with their own developing style. It’s Terry’s goal to help students learn the ins and outs of drawing digitally with Procreate and then take them down the path of their own creativity and imagination. If both beginners and intermediate students come to the class – Terry will divide them to give adequate and appropriate instruction to both groups. DESCRIPTION:Ripple Effects with Betsey MacDonald \nMondays April 7\, 3:00PM – 6:00PM April 14\, 21\, 28 2:00PM – 5:00 PM (4 classes) \nAs Rhode Islanders\, we live in the ocean state\, which also has hundreds of freshwater ponds and lakes. So\, water abounds! In fact\, the Wickford Art Association is on the beautiful Narragansett Bay. We see the sky and clouds reflected in the water every day. We see boats\, buildings\,trees\, people\, and animals with either squiggly\, watery\, or perfect mirror images beneath them all the time. \nI’ve been studying reflections for a few years now and in an attempt to better understand what happens in the water\, this is what I’ve chosen to paint and I love it! It’s as if the water allows for a realistic image above and an abstraction below. In this class\, we’ll learn about how these reflections are created\, what conditions affect their appearance\, and how we can better paint them. A mood and sense of the environment is created by water and we’ll strive for depicting that mood in our paintings.
