In this workshop we will be making personalized handmade paper that can be used in decorations, collage, prints, cards, writing paper, books, and even sculpture. We will start off making paper sheets from pulp made from cotton, recycled paper, and plant materials. Next, we will move to explore expressive qualities of paper making by using embedding, embossing, and laminating methods. You will leave the workshop with the knowledge of how to make paper and the ability to make more at home.
I will be supplying all the art materials you will need. However, if there are decorative materials from your “stash” ( yarn, pressed flowers, natural materials, etc.) you will want to use please feel free to bring them along.
