47^th Annual
Wickford Art Festival
July 11 & 12, 2009

Once again, we are looking for volunteers to help us put on this year’s Wickford Art Festival. We need volunteers both before the Festival & at the Festival itself:

• Anytime before the Festival:

  • To put up posters.  If you know of places that will post them, please stop by the gallery to pick some up.

• Thursday before the Festival:

  • To help mark the layout of booth spaces in town.

• Friday night before the Festival: 

  • To donate food to the artist registration/reception, as well as 

  • To sign up artists.

• Saturday and/or Sunday, during the Festival.  Volunteer shifts are broken into 2 hour time slots from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. but feel free to sign up for more than one shift! Please contact the gallery to sign up.

  • As artists' helpers

  • To sell raffle tickets and memorabilia at the information booth

Sponsors of the 2009 Wickford Art Festival:

Raffle: Each year in the Spring, the Wickford Art Association looks to WAA Artist-Members for artwork donations to support the Wickford Art Festival and the WAA scholarship fund.  Our Artist-Members' generosity helps make the raffle a success, and helps deserving and talented young artists go to college.  The raffle is typically held late Sunday afternoon during the Wickford Art Festival, near the information booth. WAA Artist-Members donating work  for the 2009 Wickford Art Festival: Sandy Askey Adams, Mary Jane Cross, Sandra King, Kristy Morrill,  Merilyn Rocks, and Leonard Rumpler (3) If you're a WAA Artist-Member and would consider making a donation, please contact Francie for further information.

Memorabilia:

Wickford Art Festival memorabilia (undated) is available for purchase at the Wickford Art Association Gallery throughout the year: zippered tote bag  with inside pocket...$15, hats...$15, and visors...$15.

Please note: During the Festival, T-shirts with the year indicated are for sale.  Any T-shirts that remain after the festival are available for purchase at the gallery until they run out.  A few 2008 T-shirts are still available at the reduced price of $5 each. T-Shirt Logo Contest: Rene Koszeroski is our 2009 festival T-shirt contest winner.  Congratulations Rene! This contest, held annually, is to design the logo for the Wickford Art Festival! The winning, one-color logo will be featured on our festival t-shirts, hats and brochures.  The T-Shirt Logo Contest winner is awarded $100 as well as recognition in our festival booklet.   There is no specific size required as all entries will be scaled to fit.  Multiple entries are welcome.  All entries must be received at the gallery by May 1.  The contest is open to all--WAA Members and non-members alike.
