Drawing with Fire – April 10 at 7 PM

April Community Event – Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 7 PM
Doors open at 6:30 PM to view “Fur, Feathers, Fins” exhibit

Pyrography is the art of drawing with a heated metal-tipped pen. Unlike paint, ink or graphite that sits on top of the canvas or paper, burning significantly alters the surface much like etching or engraving. It combines the sharp crisp details of pen & ink with softness of charcoal to create unique sepia-toned qualities unlike any other medium.

Cate McCauley, of West Greenwich, RI, is one of our latest Juried Artist Members. She will be giving a talk about pyrography at Wickford Art Association and bringing her equipment so you can try it for yourself.

Join us – free and open to the public.
