Wickford Art Festival Scholarship Fund and Raffle
2015 Wickford Art Association Scholarship Fund
Since 1962, Wickford Art Association has annually awarded scholarships to outstanding students in the community. For the last four years, the competition has been open to all RI public schools: the winners had to be the best in art in their High School to apply. This year, WAA will award $5,000.00 in scholarships to 3 RI public high school seniors who will be attending an art college. WAA has partnered with the RI Arts Education Association to give out a 4th award for $500 called the Directors' Award.
WAA Scholarship Fund Awards Ceremony
Mark your calendars for Sunday March 22, 2015 at the Wickford Art Association Gallery located at 36 Beach Street, Wickford, RI for the annual Scholarship Fund Awards Ceremony (open to the public). Last year’s ceremony was standing room only and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room as four amazing and talented students collected their prizes and started their artistic journey of higher education. As part of their prize, the winners will be exhibiting their artwork at the 53rd Wickford Art Festival. Please stop by their booths in July to congratulate them!
WAA Annual Scholarship Fund “Raffle of Fine Art”
Annually, WAA artists generously donate their art to support the scholarship Fund. At the end of the Wickford Art Festival, all of the art work is raffled! Please support this worthy cause by buying raffle tickets: winners do not need to be present in order to win. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 tickets for $5.00. Please contact the WAA Gallery if you would like to purchase tickets before the Art Festival or during the Festival, stop by our information booth to see the donated artwork and scoop up your tickets!
Or purchase tickets online right now! You will receive an email with your ticket numbers,
confirming your entries in the raffle.
Support the Annual Scholarship Fund
Individuals are welcome to support the Annual Scholarship Fund! Your donation offers students the opportunity to pursue art as their career through higher education. Individuals contribute the overwhelming majority of philanthropic support to the Annual Scholarship Fund. Help students benefit from the impact that higher education can have on personal artistic development.
EVERY gift, no matter the size, makes a difference! Your donation will be acknowledged in the Wickford Art Festival Program, distributed during festival weekend July 11 and 12, 2015.
