President's MessageMark Nascimento Summer has come and almost gone but while it was here it was busy. Preparation for, and the Art Festival itself was a frenzy of activity. Add to that a show and opening at the gallery and it was a taxing time for everyone who was involved. I want to express my extreme gratitude for all of the hard work by all of our volunteers, without whom all of this would not have been possible. The annual picnic this year will also be a celebration. The association was finally able to start building a permanent home for the Wickford Art Association at 36 Beach Street. I hope everyone will come and enjoy the food and camaraderie and celebrate this important anniversary. Next May will be the 20th anniversary of the buildings dedication. This gives us a year to plan an appropriate celebration. Of course, all too soon the Little Picture show will be upon us. But before that comes about we have a lot to do. There are plenty of places that we need people to step up and volunteer to take. We need your talents and time, so please volunteer. Have a great Autumn. |
